Indee Content & Moderation Policy

Indee exists to give sound practitioners a safe, professional, and independent home for their work. To protect creators, listeners, and our partners (including Stripe), all content on Indee must follow these rules.

The Short Version

  • Be original — only upload what you made or have rights to.
  • Be honest — describe your work truthfully, don't mislead people.
  • Be respectful — no hate, harassment, or exploitation.
  • No restricted stuff — adult content, drugs, gambling, scams, or anything Stripe bans.
  • No playing doctor — you can share wellness and spiritual practices, but don't claim to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.
  • Follow the law — where you live and where your audience is.

If you break these rules, your content or account may be removed.

1. Ownership & Responsibility

  • You own your work and are fully responsible for what you publish.
  • You must hold all necessary rights or licenses for the content you upload.
  • You may be asked to provide proof of rights or licenses if requested.

2. Prohibited Content

The following categories are not allowed on Indee. Violations may result in removal, suspension, or account termination:

  • Illegal content: anything unlawful under applicable local, national, or international law.
  • Adult/sexually explicit content: pornography, sexually explicit material, or services.
  • Hate/violence: hate speech, harassment, threats, or incitement of violence.
  • Self-harm exploitation: content encouraging or glorifying self-harm or suicide.
  • Fraud/deception: impersonation, scams, fake reviews, misleading descriptions.
  • Regulated/restricted goods or services: drugs, controlled substances, weapons, gambling, financial schemes, multi-level marketing.
  • Medical claims: unsubstantiated claims to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. Wellness/spiritual framing is fine, but you must include disclaimers (see below).
  • Copyright infringement: any use of music, audio, or other works without proper rights.

3. Standards for Wellness & Spiritual Content

Because Indee focuses on sound to support wellbeing, all content must:

  • Must not make medical claims to diagnose, treat, or cure health conditions.
  • Be presented truthfully — do not claim guaranteed results.
  • Meet professional standards of quality and accuracy in descriptions.

4. Moderation & Enforcement

  • Automated checks: uploads may be automatically screened for obvious violations.
  • Manual review: flagged or reported content is reviewed by human moderators.
  • User reporting: listeners and creators can report concerning content.
  • Enforcement: may include content removal, warnings, suspension, or termination.
  • Audit trail: all enforcement actions are logged and may be shared with Stripe.
  • Appeals: creators can appeal within 14 days; appeals are reviewed within 5 business days by a different moderator. Final decisions on appeals are binding.

5. Payments & Payouts

  • Payouts are only for creator compensation for their own work.
  • Indee does not allow peer-to-peer money transmission or remittance.
  • All payments are processed via Stripe; Indee never handles or stores card details.

6. Legal & Compliance

  • This policy works alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy .
  • Indee complies with UK law, GDPR, consumer protection standards, and the requirements of our payment processor (Stripe).
  • For international users, you must also comply with the laws in your own jurisdiction.
